The controversial Portuguese mentor Jose Mourinho has applauded the clinical finishing for Andre Schurrle after the German banged all three goals in Chelsea’s 3-1 thumping of Fulham yesterday.
The 23-year-old scored early in the second half and netted twice more inside 16 minutes to seal the West London derby in favour of the tourists.
Mourinho applauded the young German and he described him as “cool” in front of goal and was happy to see his team winning at Craven Cottage.
“Schurrle’s in a learning process in the Premier League but he has cold blood, in front of goal he is cool,” he said.
“He’s a good finisher and that’s what I expect from him.
“This was a real game of two halves, the first half was very poor and the second was good, it was a great three points for us.
The Blues are now four points clear at the summit of the Premier League table after the win, with 10 games to spare, though third-placed Manchester City are six points adrift with two games in hand.
