The double gold medal winner, Olympic hero and world champion, Mo Farah,30, is in Kenya on the edge of the rift valley training in preparation for the London Marathon to be held on April 15.
Farah shall compete with other athletics greats such as Wilson kipsang, TsegayeKabede and the London Marathon record holder Emmanuel Mutai.
Farah is looking forward to the race and hopes to become the first Briton to win in London since Eamonn Martin in 1983.He also aims to break the British record of 2 hours 7 minutes 13 seconds set by Steve Johns in Chicago in 1985. Farah is running 140 miles a week. He is going to be training there for three months.
Mo Farah said: “It’s going to be one of the hardest races of my life, harder than London 2012, harder than world championships in Moscow. This is different I have never raced the marathon. These guys are the best and know they can do it. I am still learning.”
All we can do is to stand by him and cheer him on saying, go – go, Mo Farah! Go for it, the London Marathon is winnable – it’s all yours.
