The Argentine coach Alejandra Sabella has picked his compatriot for the Fifa 2013 Ballon d’Or ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and feels that the No.10 had a better 2013 than his Madrid rival.
Lionel Messi collected all four Ballon d’ Or accolades since 2009, but he has an injury-interruption and many believe that he will lose it to Madrid talisman Ronaldo or Franck Ribery who did well with Bayern last season.
Albiceleste boss has said that he had no doubts about supporting the Argentine talismanic No.10 to scoop this year’s Ballon d’Or.
“I voted for Messi without a doubt,” he told Radio Continental.”Second was Ronaldo and then third, Ribery.”
Messi is currently recovering from injury and will come back early 2014 and fully fit for the World Cup.
“He is going to recover well from injury and will be in good shape for the World Cup,” said Sabella.”Hopefully nothing happens from here to June.”
