Harare, Zimbabwe (News of the South)-Vibrant war veterans leader Victor Matemandada has courted controversy again a few days after being released on bail, for other charges, after appearing wearing a T-shirt insinuating attacks against those fighting VP Mnangagwa.

VP Mnangagwa was recently whisked to South Africa after a suspected case of food poisoning left him retching blood before collapsing after a ZANU PF rally addressed by President Mugabe.

The Zimbabwe National War Veterans Secretary General however dismissed allegations that he was attacking anyone saying that he actually bought the T-shirt from a bale of clothes in Mbare.

The t-shirt is emblazoned with the text that ” Elimination by whatever means and methods will not stop us.1-2=It can’t ”

“I just bought that shirt in Mbare mubhero rekuMozambique. But it’s  just a second hand shirt,” he said dispelling the idea that he had the message printed.

Asked about the ZNLWVA logo Matemadanda said it was a coincidence.

Matemadanda has been at the forefront of a group of war veterans who of late have been hitting out at President Mugabe’s rule calling for him to step down and relinquish power to Mnangagwa.
