The Brazilian wonder boy Neymar Junior has been applauded by his mentor Gerardo Martino over his spirited performance on Wednesday night after he netted his first hat-trick for the Blaugrana helping his team rout Celtic Fc 6-1.

Neymar struck three times in just 14 minutes to become the first player to do that in both Copa Libertadores and champions league, and coach Martino could not hesitate to hail the 21-year-old’s rejuvenated display on Wednesday.

“Neymar didn’t start well, he had to adopt to the centre-forward position, but after the first goal he showed what he can do,” said Martino.

“What amazes me most about the youngster is how he’s involved with the team, how he helps recover balls, that’s rare for such a player.”

The Argentine coach also praised his team for rising to the occasion and is optimistic his team will continue with the same spirit in the next fixtures.

“I think this was our most complete game this season,” he added.”I’m happy that we could keep up the level for a long time.

“Our goal is to play every game like we played tonight.”

The Blaugrana’s next fixture is a La Liga encounter against Villarreal on Saturday.
