Mandela long walk to freedom movie opens in South Africa.The movie has been looking to win over audiences with some high profile screenings.
The film will be screened for its first time in SA before being shown to the rest of the world, the movie was produced by Anant Singh and its the first to be accepted by the Madiba family.
Zikhona Sodlaka is one of the South African talented actresses who is featured in the film where she plays the role of Mandela’s mother, the late Nosekeni Fanny.
She said the movie was a big production and shooting it was exciting.
“shooting the film was exciting and nerve racking as it is a big production and I’m happy other countries will get to see it as well.”
Another renowned British Actress Naome Harris said she was grateful to have Winnie Madikizela Mandela stamp of approval
.The actress plays the role of Madiba’s ex wife in the movie.
“It makes me feel comfortable in my own heart knowing that I’ve looked the woman in the eye and playing her”.
The film will be shown from Friday in cinemas across South Africa.
