Aguero’s superb finish in the 15th minute opened the floodgate of plethora of goals that followed, but the forward later on limped off the pitch.

In the second half Danny Rose fouled Edin Dzeko before Yaya Toure scored from a penalty spot six minutes in the half.

Edin Dzeko scored himself from close range before Elienne Capoue netted one for Spurs.Stevan Jovetic banged his first ever Man City league goal and Vincent Kompany’s late strike made City’s eighth consecutive league victories and condemned Tim Sherwood to first Premier league defeat.
