Harare, Zimbabwe(News of the South)-Pop legend Madonna has shifted bases and moved to Lisbon in Portugal after his son David Banda ,11, joined the Benfica youth academy for soccer.
To celebrate the achievement Madonna has since posted pictures in a Benfica kit on Instagram.
David, whom the famous musician adopted from Malawi in 2006 managed to qualify to join the academy after undergoing through trials at the camp during the spring.
He is currently living at the club’s youth academy at Seixal in Lisbon’s suburbs.
According to media reports the boy will attend Lisbon’s French lycee when schools return next month.
“Local media report that Madonna has bought a £7m villa in nearby Sintra”.
“However, while the property is being renovated, she is now living in a hotel in central Lisbon.
“Weekly magazine Visao claimed : “Madonna is no longer a tourist, she is a now a resident of Lisbon.”
