(News of The South) – After his team cruised to the quarter finals of the continent’s biggest soccer festival, the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Egypt the president of Madagascar, Randy Razhiolina has hired an aeroplane to carry supporters in his country to join him in supporting his team.

President of Madagascar
Madagascar’s head of state is already in Egypt supporting his team and he ordered the chartering of a flight for his country’s football team supporters after the boys booted out Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to book a ticket for the last eight teams of the competition.
Razhiolina said he is happy that his country’s football team has shown that it can win games at such big football stages.
“We have shown that we are capable of winning games at such big football stages, and let me inform you that we have chartered a flight for our team supporters to join me here in Egypt for the next game,” Razhiolina said.
This is the first time Madagascar has reached this high at the Afcon competition.
In other games, Bafana-Bafana of South Africa has also registered a surprise win which has also ousted the hosts and one of the completion’s favourites, Egypt in what looked like a formality game for the Mandela boys.
The Afcon is being staged in Egypt, a country famous for its historical background of Pharaohs, pyramids and heygloriphix in its ancient days of civilization.
