MdC-T party Spokesperson Linda Masarira was said to habe been fired from hef postion after being seing in Zanu pf party regalia. Masarira was seen wrapping herself with President Mnangagawas Zambia.
News of The South contacted Masarira and this is what she had to say:
“I had visited my in-laws and naturally wear African attire which are very long so I didn’t bother to carry any Zambia with me unfortunately there was no any wrapper so I wore a Zambia with ED’s face
eds.
People took pictures of me wearing the Zambia which I posted on my facebook page because I knew some people could be taking them for their own selfish intentions”.
Knowing how sensitive and polarized our political landscape is in Zimbabwe I did posted them until my notorious deputy spokesperson Kandepani Pugeni decided to make mince meat out of me .
“To me it was not an issue because I was in Mashonaland central ward which is the the Zanu-pf stronghold and am a matured person to realize some things that separates and unite us for prosperity and posterity I actually took a bond with my new found family in the Zanu-pf.
It is very unfortunate thay trivial issues continue to divide us because our social fabric is broken because of intoxity and polarity”.
And for me when I view this seat it is as a way that I thought would reunite us because we cannot be fighting over pieces of cloth and yet we our leaders who are doing far mush worse.
I know for sure that some steering committee leaders in my party do have links with my Zanu-pf supporters”.
“I know the lawyers, in MDC alliance represent Zanu-pf leaders who were on business with MDC leaders but we never saw people fighting out of that”.
And some people in the steering committee decided to have a meeting only to fire the spokesperson just because she wrapped around a Zambia at her rural homestead”.
That is the highest level of mediocrity and for me I would no belittle myself by going to challenge such a trivial issue which just show that I was part and parcel of a grouping of people that is not on the same level of mindset with me because honestly I could not convene a meeting to discuss such a mediocrity because of my political party”.
“I have been fired from having been negotiating talks with president Munangagwa and they having these meetings almost every week at the state house and they fire the spokesperson for wrapping on Zambia with EDs face”.
“It shows that they themselves are actually saying Munangagwa is not legitimate because I don’t see anything wrong with it, you may come up with a lot of theories about it on what their intention was of firing me just because not long ago Dr Thokozani Khupe on inauguration was kissed by Emmerson Munangagwa”.
“Social media went accusing the who MDC being and i stood and fought with her and she went on accusing me pressurized by some male politicians in our party who are power hungry who pose in sheep skin and they that same position of mine”.
“Or they feel threatened with my boldness and courage, so as for me am not really bothered about what has happened”,
“I have taken it as an opportunity to realign my initial vision which I have for my country to reunite Zimbabweans and ensure that at one stage soon or later we shall stop all these polarity and divisions and toxity which has stalled progress in our country for a very long time”.
Even in our parliament even if a good idea come up same things happen who come up with this idea, if the MDC then Zanf-pf members will not support it.
“Zimbabwe needs a shift of mindset to ensure that we become more development oriented and focus on real issues to save Zimbabwe from quagmire it is unfortunately am not power hungry, am more concerned about working for my country and I am servant leader and will continue saving my people doing what I have always been doing”.
“Linda Masandlha was a brandd before she joined Dr Thokozani Kupele was a brand before she joined them and I wish them well in all their endevouirs” added Masarira.
