Streets are deserted – its like a ghost town
The quietness is scary like a ghost in the cockpit in mid air. People are not on the streets, lt’s like they are hiding in a bunker after a bomb threat
City centres are as quiet as death
There is no traffic congestion in London
A few pigeons fly past the Shard Building
Seemingly running away from the quietness of the Tube Underground
There are no trains to Manchester Piccadilly ,there are no trains to Shrewsbury
Traffic lights are continuously flashing Red, amber, green
But, there is no traffic to regulate
Depiction of a happy Santa is standing tall near a giant Christmas tree.
The aromatic smell of a roasting turkey fills the air
Christmas melodies play softly-softly in a terraced house in a cul-de-sac. Kids are keen to open their presents on Boxing Day, and to tuck in that Christmas dinner served with sprouts.
Close knit families are together to wine and dine.
But, some people will succumb to loneliness like a ghost in the rain.
Let’s remember them this Christmas.
