Meet – Lekau Sehoana, back in 2003 while he was doing Grade 8, he was given an old torn Pair of Sneakers because he didn’t have any Shoes to wear to a School Function. He removed the torn part and redesigned the Sneaker using Denim and Polyurethane. The Sneaker became a hit and people liked it.
Making an entry into the Shoe Making business and exchanging Pain with Profit, for the next 5 Years of his High School. 16 years later in 2019, the commercial Brand was born and he named it “Drip Footwear”. Offering authentic African high quality and stylish unisex SNEAKERS.
Lekau’s story starts with him not having Shoes, but it doesn’t only end with him Building a Brand, it goes beyond him designing School Shoes and Giving Hundreds of them to those in need who are like him 17 years ago. Drip Footwear currently have 5 stores in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Limpopo and they also deliver throughout South Africa. – Valentine Zoza
