LEAD President Masarira offers solutions

As Zimbabweans we need to grasp that focusing on blame games causes terror, anxiety, horror and fear which increases cover-ups and reduces the flow of information. Lack of information hinders problem solving, creating more errors. Fear also stifles risk taking & discourages invention & innovation.

Its high time we elect leaders who can say at a particular moment I made a mistake & say it in public. @LEADZim2023 is a political party that is going to take responsibility & put it on its shoulders because for a long time Zimbabwe has been playing the blame game.

Its either the ruling party is blaming the opposition party or the opposition parties are pointing fingers directed to the ruling party at the end of the blaming game period we find ourselves with much deeper cuts bleeding expenses and wallowing in problems.

As LEAD we are saying enough is enough we now need to unite and come up with solutions that solve our problems & build a Zimbabwe we all want. These blame games should stop. We need to map a new political dimension that advocates for peace because violence is never a solution in Africa.

When something goes wrong, the foremost question that we often probe is, “Whose fault is it?” At LEAD instead of saying “Who did it?” we say “What happened here?” Blaming seems to be a natural impulse in many, governments, administrations, organizations and officialdoms in Zimbabwe and Africa at large and yet that game and habit is an enemy of progress in our DNA.

Even those people who desire to learn from mistakes fall into naming culprits. Where there is blame, open minds close, review and inquiry tends to stop & the desire to understand the whole system diminishes.

When people work in an atmosphere of blame, they naturally cover up their errors & hide their real concerns, that is other political parties for you at LEAD we critically analyze the reasons for the mistakes and map a way forward through engagement involving all stakeholders.

Zimbabwe belongs to all of us and we need a paradigm shift of mindset. All politicians, civic society and the church should move from antagonism and blaming to engagement and dialogue.

United we can make Zimbabwe great and prosperous. Slowly but surely we will get there. Rome wasnt built in a day. Once we shake off the neocolonislist mentality we will be ready to walk towards greatness. #TogetherWeCanRevive Zimbabwe’s economy!
