The Samba boys’ gaffer Luiz Filipe Scolari has given Kaka and Robinho chances to represent Brazil again at the 2014 Fifa World Cup to be staged in their homeland.
Scolari has revealed his intentions to closely watch Kaka in the coming months with the hope to include him in the squad for the World cup.
The 31-year-old last played for his national team way back in October 2012 in an international friendly against Japan and Scolari said he is happy to see the former Ballon d’Or winner back and playing for AC Milan from Real Madrid and made clear his plans to include him in his squad.
“I was happy with Kaka’s decision to sign with the team that gave him the chance to be at his best once more,” he said. He can certainly have a good opportunity in the future.”
On the other hand, Robinho has been included in the squad that will face Honduras and Chile this month. Robinho came as a direct replacement for the departed Brazilian born Diego Costa who opted for Spain at the expense of his birth-place.
Scolari made it clear he hopes to see Robinho prove his worth ahead of the World Cup finals.
“Robinho has participated in two World cups. His quality, technique and his joy can be useful,” he added. “It was time to call him up to see if he can be important in the World Cup.”
