Wolverhampton, UK (News of The South)- Zimbabwean music superstar Jah Prayzah ignited his “Ndini Mukudzei” World Tour with a spectacular four-hour performance at The Hangar in Wolverhampton on Sunday night. The sold-out show, the first under a new collaboration between Jah Prayzah Management and UK-based promoter Kivo Santana, exceeded expectations and left the enthusiastic crowd yearning for more.

Despite some initial uncertainty due to Jah Prayzah’s absence from the UK stage for two years – his last appearance being a curtailed set at the Afrixa music festival in Leicester’s Nelson Mandela Park – the anticipation was palpable. From the moment the show began, the energy in The Hangar was electric.

The night kicked off with an opening set by K Rochelle, followed by X Q, whose performance had the audience singing and dancing along, setting the perfect tone for the main act. When Jah Prayzah finally took to the stage, he delivered a relentless stream of hits, showcasing his growth as an international artist. The entire band delivered an incredible performance, leaving no doubt about their musical prowess.

The atmosphere was described as “electric,” with Zimbabweans from across the UK coming together to celebrate their culture and enjoy their beloved artist. Flags were raised high, and generations danced together, creating a powerful sense of community.

The Hangar proved to be an excellent venue, with professional and helpful security ensuring a smooth and safe experience for all attendees. Queues outside were well-managed, and the bar area was orderly. Notably, the VIP section maintained order throughout the night, a welcome change from some UK shows that experience overcrowding in these areas.
Jah Prayzah demonstrated exceptional stage presence, effortlessly connecting and communicating with his audience. His performance showcased international standards, setting a benchmark for other musicians looking to manage their own tours effectively. The meticulous planning behind the event was evident in every aspect, from the smooth flow of the show to the overall organization.
Manager Keen Mushapaidze was also present, ensuring everything ran according to plan. The successful kick-off in Wolverhampton follows Jah Prayzah’s recent album launch in Harare, making this UK show a perfect continuation of his global tour.

The overwhelming success of the Wolverhampton concert is a testament to Jah Prayzah’s enduring popularity and the dedication of his management team and UK-based supporters. It marks a significant moment for Zimbabwean music in the UK and sets a high bar for the rest of the “Ndini Mukudzei” World Tour. Fans across the globe will undoubtedly be eager to experience the magic that Wolverhampton witnessed. Next stop will be in Germany where Jah Prayzah will continue to showcase Zimbabwe’s finest.
