In my opinion, African women are mostly affected by Domestic violence.
Mostly African men don’t consider women’s feelings.
Most men don’t care how a woman feels when they get involved or get married to second and third wives and so on.
As soon as that happens women consider themselves useless or no value. Their self esteem is totally destroyed/damaged.
That kills womens efforts. Mostly women are in their houses for the sake of their kids but are mentally destroyed, there are few strong women who can stand up again and reclaim their lives, most find it hard to move on.
Most women get married at a very young age, at that time they experience many hardships, failure and rejection and end up having so many kids.
It’s not really easy for them to go back to school and study as they will be facing financial problems and have a family to feed.
The women end up settling for less as long as they can put food on the table for the little ones.
Women are often blamed even when they haven’t done anything wrong, they are falsely accused, beaten up and abused. Most women suffer in silence and don’t speak out or seek help.
The end result is living in poverty and accepting everything as if it’s normal. Women have the potential of becoming great leaders out there.
Most women don’t have hope, some have big dents in their hearts and need professional counselling.
As Africa is facing serious economic problems everyday it’s really a hard load to carry. Most are unemployed and the drought worsens the situation.
Women in employment face challenges too, as soon as they get a job offer suddenly they find out that manager or leader is interested in them, should they fail to give the right response it turns to opportunity close down.
Men are too selfish as they are little souls to be taken care of they only consider their flesh desires.
