Harare (NewsoftheSouth) – With the country ever in election mode, more parties will continue to resurface claiming that they are the Messiah’s of this lovely country. Some have failed to last 8 months on the scene but there is one with an ambition of garnering 8 million votes in 2023.
Zimbabwe Africa Freedom Organization (ZAFO), led by South African based Zimbabwean builder and carpenter Innocent D Chingwe has announced its arrival to Zimbabwe’s politics. In a Facebook live video session the leader of the party pleaded with all virgin voters to vote for him.
“We need every 18-21 year old men and women to vote for us because we have come to redeem the country from it’s shambles,” said the president. He further lamented that even those who have abstained from voting in the past, we need them to vote.
“Those of you that have abstained from voting we need you to start voting. You have been the ones letting us down and for that you have been agents of the devil.”
However likening the abstaining voters to the agents of the Devil might land him some jabs from the electorate, but he has vowed to mobilize people from Botswana, South Africa and Mozambique to help him win this election.
Chingwe said the leadership has let the nation down as people are now eating insects and grass in Zimbabwe in order to survive. The ZAFO leader said the current leadership had paralyzed the country economically, socially and politically and so he is demanding change or he will deliver it himself in 2023.
Of interest the self proclaimed new president of the nation come 2023 said that the 8 million voters will be compensated as he seeks to mobilize US$60bn once in power to alleviate the problems of the electorate.
The leader of ZAFO launched a GoFundMe appeal of $900m on 13 April 2020 and to date no well wisher has come forward to help him on his cause, making it hard to believe that he can mobilize US$60 billion once in power.
