Harare, Zimbabwe. (News of The South) –
The Coronavirus pandemic came without warning destroying many lives and leaving many families in tears.
I, for one, am a victim of this virus. Life has not been the same ever since this virus started spreading across the globe.
Everything went from the best to the worst at the blink of an eye.
My life is not as it was before. I have become very scared of other people, even my relatives and friends.
I am scared to even go outside the gate because I do not know what life outside the gate has in store for me.
I do not know of the last time I saw my family, friends and other relatives, I have no idea what the central business district of Harare looks like now.

I have not seen my neighbours for the past two weeks now, the only outside I know is outside the house where I go to get some vitamin C from the sun.
This pandemic has caused a very big drag in my life. As a student, life has been put on hold for me.
We have no idea if our school year is going to continue, if it is going to be pushed a few months further or be postponed to next year. The Coronavirus has taken about a month of my life and made it pass by me like it was nothing.
Plans for my future that I had set aside for this year have proven to be a total waste. Planning things for 2020 was like planning for failure. I few things got to be done this year.
I have no idea of the time that this nightmare will be over but I just hope and pray that it is soon so that we can be able to go back to our normal lives.
This pandemic has made me feel alone and made me feel like I am trapped in a parallel universe that I cannot escape from.
All that is left now is to hope that things get better soon, my life goes back to normal and that the country is not damaged solely by the effects of the Coronavirus.
