HEARTLESS: Zimbabweans mock security forces killed in accident.
SHAMVA, Zimbabwe. (News of the South)- Frustrated Zimbabweans expressed their hatred towards police and soldiers as they mocked security forces who were killed in an accident in Shamva.
Social media users posted sarcastic comments on a story published by the state controlled Herald newspaper of 3 police officers and a soldier who died in a car accident in Shamva
The police vehicle veered of the road, hit a telecommunication pole and a rock before overturning.
Social media commentators alleged that the deceased were drinking and driving and the driver failed to negotiate a curve resulting in the fatal accident.
“Why did they recklessly damage that rock,” said Tony Mazingaidzo.
Another social commentator, Paul Tawananyasha said: “At least the enemies left the pole standing but I’m worried about grass which was a little bit broken.”
“Why are they few. They normally travel in huge numbers.Those who died are few,” Nomandla Malunga said.
These nasty comments might be from people who have been victims of army and police brutality.
Zimbabwean security forces are notorious for beating, wantonly arresting and persecuting of citizens causing hatred between the forces and ordinary people.
Citizens blame police and soldiers for human rights abuses, corruption and protecting Zanu PF leadership.
