Harare, Zimbabwe(News of the South)-After 18 wins in a row, Manchester City are being talked about as possible favorites for the UEFA Champions League. But their coach, Pep Guardiola, doesn’t agree.
Guardiola asked if City are favourites for the CL.
PG: “Who does Messi play for?”
Reporter: “Barcelona.”
PG: “So they’re the favourites.”

The former FC Barcelona boss said the favorites were the Catalans, who, to be fair, are unbeaten in the league as well. Both City and Barcelona are building nigh-unassailable leads in their respective leagues and have topped their Champions League groups.
But, what really convinces Guardiola that it’s his former club who should be called favorites is down to one man: Lionel Messi. Such is the esteem the coach holds his former pupil in.
