Harare, Zimbabwe. (News of The South) –
The Argentine Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino has taken a deep dig at Guardiola after Manchester City gaffer called Spurs as “the Kane-led team.”
Pep had been questioned for his opinion on the title race, to which he responded that Manchester United and Chelsea are real contenders together with Maurichio’s Harry Kane-led team.
Therefore, the White Hart Lane boss has not reacted kindly to Guardiola’s sentiments, nevertheless claiming that his opposite number was not being respectful to the players with Tottenham Hotspurs.
“I know Pep,” Mauricio said, “When he’s excited after an amazing win he struggles to keep his position and be gentleman.
“It was disrespetful for many. When he was at Barcelona i never said “the Messi team”.
“I think it’s a sad comment because the players laugh about that.If you are a manager you must show more, No? To be above this type of comment.”
Gaurdiola’s comments on Tottenham Hot Spurs are a true reflection of the English man’s recent form in front of goal whis is the main reason why he has been singled out by the Catalan.Harry Kane helped his country to the 2018 World Cup with some sublime goals, netting four times in just three appearances.
Statistically, the English frontman has found the net 36 times from 147 shots in 2017, while Spurs Saturday’s rival, Bournemouth has bagged 36 times from 371 shots the whole team combined.
Such statistics have add up to some rumours linking Kane to a big money move to the Spanish Champions Real Madrid.Recently, the 24-year-old has insisted that he is content with life in London, although he did not rule out a move abroad one day.
