Title: Green Leaf Cut Short – Tuku Tribute

The nation wails for the loss of this leaf
It was green as a gooseberry
So, promising, So, harmless as a queen bee
So, friendly as a puppy, So honest as a mirror
So, adorable as a rainbow, aglow with life ,
flowering, blossoming and blooming but,
tragically blown away on 23 January 2019
Green Leaf taken, green leaf cut short,
lt’s you our hero, Dr.Tuku-Mutukudzi.
It’s a fatal blow to my conscience,
lt’s painful to talk about this leaf,
for the chlorophyll is no more .
A pillar of strength, a unifier of the nation
The pain in us flows like red hot lava.
Our loss lives on like bushmen art on granite rocks.

Now that the shepherd has been struck,
for sure the sheep will scatter.
And become a lost needle in the desert.
God gives, God takes, but why Samanyanga?
Your death to family and fans is a river of pain.
L see a yawning gap forever, penyu pese masakura mazunza Samanyanga
Drift and drift to eternity like a balloon.
Rest, rest and rest in peace, meek Super Hero,
till we Laugh Out Loud again in eternity.
