Zimbabwean music legend Thomas ” Mukanya Mapfumo who has had over 60 years experience in the music field last night announced that the the leicester show will be his last UK show. The chimurenga music icon who spoke from the press conference held at Ramada Hotel, Leicester said he would have one show for South Africa and a last show in Zimbabwe as well. ” I would also like to have a show in Zambia, a country like Zambia is led by a good leader and I get on well with the President, said Mapfumo”.

“I have used my money to set up this last show to bid farewell to my loyal music fans in the UK” added Mapfumo.



Phab Entertainment Director Joab Mgugu who is also helping Mapfumo with this show assured fans the show would kick off at 8pm and end at 3am. Mgugu also highlighted that other preparations were on point and that they had increased the size of the stage and sorted out great stage lighting and a great spund system.

Mapfumo will share the stage with Zimbabwean artists Lindsay Chamangura Ngura and Mark Ngwazi, it is Lindsay’s firt time to perform in the UK while Mark will be performing for the 2nd time with his first performance having been in April. All three artists have promised fireworks which are expected to awaken the city of Leicester tonight.




Mukanya explained how he appreciated talent and why it’s important to promote talented artists, this is what inspired him to invite Lindsay Chamangura Ngura and Mark Ngwazi to perform at his last UK show. He also encouraged Zimbabwean music promoters to be united and support each other.

There will be no curtain raisers for tonights Greatest hits show as the plan is to give the three artists enough time to perform. Fans are encouraged to arrive in time so as to catch all the action. Tickets are still on sale and can be purchased using the link below:
