China to receive COVID-19 vaccine by November
BEIJIN,China.(News Of the South)-Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced that the Coronavirus vaccine being developed could be ready for use by the general public as early as November.
Wu Guizhen, CDC Chief Biosafety expert in an interview said the phase 3 clinical trials were ‘proceeding smoothly’.
“Ordinary people can be vaccinated with the vaccine because according to its phase 3 clinical results, the current progress is proceeding very smoothly,” she said.
China has already offered at least three of its vaccines to essential workers for clinical trials under an emergency use program in July.
It has four of the world’s eight vaccines at final stages on trial.
Wu confirmed that she has not had any abnormal symptoms since receiving the vaccine in April.
They also said they are thinking of extending the vaccine to their workers in food markets, hospitality and public transport.
