Located in the peripheral edge of Highfield’s residential suburbs Gazaland Shopping Centre which falls in the heart of Western Canada has developed to be a permanent hub of metal scraps where everything is made.
The secluded place is endowed with a large scale of myriad metal activities ranging from motor spare parts, to the craft engineering of scotch-carts of different sizes and small metal products.
A senior entrepreneur from the area who identified himself as Zondi said Gazaland is a place where money is made and has existed as a permanent metal hub which draws the attention of people from all walks of life.
“This is the place where anything related to metal is made depending with the size of your pocket you won’t walk away empty handed.”
“Both flashy and rattling vehicles are found seeking service at this area at affordable fee costs.”
The place has been of great importance to the tobacco farmers who usually purchases wheelbarrows, ploughs, scotchcarts among other farming equipment blended at the scrap site.
The place once suffered demolition at the height in 2005 which saw the majority of entrepreneurs losing thier working places.
