Motivation By Walter Rambwi.

Wait! The right moment never came! The queuing syndrome is a tendency to wait for the right moment.

Life and success is premised on your ability to acknowledge the necessity of growth and taking a bold step to make it priority. Many people notice the need for change and growth, unfortunately this remains an idea. People wait for the right moment. Momentum in life is created by motion; unless you act towards your goals they will never be fulfilled. Stop queuing. Stop waiting for the right opportunity.

If the storm fails to calm, devise ways to walk through the storm. Waiting with a dream seems like a noble idea because the vividness of your dream cushions the hurt of waiting and creates a picturesque mirage as time and opportunities pass you by. In this first installment of this blog I specifically tried to look into the queue phenomenon, how it holds back people and how to overcome that mental gimmick that has been inhibiting you from living a joyous, fulfilling and successful life.

1. The Queue Is Invisible The right moment! You have spent your whole lifetime waiting for the right moment. Stop the negative imagination that blurs your vision from the opportunities in your
surroundings to spur you to greatness.

What are you waiting for in a one man’s queue? The possibilities are limitless if you envision what’s
beyond your proximal constraints. The seeds of greatness are within you nothing external to you can intimidate your growth without your consent. Step out of your imaginative queue that stalling your
progress. Your turn to be great is now don’t lose the moment. You create your own queue by corrupting your mind.

2. Too Much Noise in the Queue The commanding voice that speaks in your life should be routed from your purpose anything out of that network intoxicates your thought process. If one ever wanted to get the township gossip, the bread queues was the place to be, each and every topic was discussed though at the day end most of the stories were told to ease the boredom of queuing for bread.

Continuous imbibing of the queue solace when in reality what you want is a kick to wake you up from your imaginative slumber. Stop collecting clutter in your mind which will cripple your progress by appreciating every word you hear when you are in the wrong standing with your purpose. The voice that can direct you is the one that has been there, have mentors who can help stir your dream boat to your destined harbour.

3. Queuing Creates Boredom Often your life has been characterized by continuous boredom that haunts you and prevent your from enjoying life. Life is never satisfying without progressive motion in the direction of your goals. Your growth is stifled everyday that you remain in an invisible queue. The moment you stop waiting for someone to wake you up and seek adventure to turn your purpose into action is the point you will start enjoying life. A life dictated by social parameters imprisons your capabilities, break away from the norm and make your own way. Happiness is a choice; deliberately move from your frustration to fascination by stepping out of the queue.

4. Release Yourself from Stagnation The power to evolve from a point of stagnation to progressive motion towards your dream lies within you. Prior to the realization that the only obstacle holding you back is you and the way you perceive your surroundings. It’s important to let go of the old thoughts that held you back from embracing greatness. Emancipation that births outright liberty stems out when the mind is set free to imagine beyond the precedent limitations. To an ordinary black South African the steps to freedom from apartheid started with a mental picture of what a post apartheid South Africa would be like. With the freedom to explore the once prohibited spheres the chances of building up the pent up dreams is made formidable. It all starts with you acknowledging the stagnation in the invisible queue and making the choice to step out of the queue to embrace greatness. A lot of lives have been lost through waiting for the perfect moment which usually never arrives; as a matter of fact we have to make it.

In the book of Ecclesiastes 11:4 the word of God says “Whoever watches the wind will not plant, whoever looks at the clouds will not reap” explaining that as long as you wait for the perfect time you remain stifled with a dream that never took off. Take time to resolve it in your mind to move from your personal queue to a life with motion that will see the realization of your goals. In the next instalment I will explore how to create mental power to break off from the queue completely and create habit which will catapult you to greatness. In the meantime step out of the queue and discover the possibilities around you.
