Former Minister Mzembi confirms Chamisa’s poisoning claims.

MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa sensationally claimed that the late President Mugabe, poisoned Morgan Tsvangirai at cabinet meetings during the inclusive government.

Chamisa said these words at the funeral of late MDC Alliance national executive member and human rights activist, Patson Dzamara on Thursday in Glen View Harare.

He also hinted that Dzamara’s death might have also been caused by food poisoning though Dzamara was diagnosed with colon cancer which led to his death and Tsvangirai also died of colon cancer in 2018.

Patson Dzamara is the brother of Itai Dzamara a journalist and human rights activist who disappeared without a trace in 2015 with the State’s hand fingered in his abduction.

Chamisa said that he once warned Tsvangirai against dining with Mugabe but Tsvangirai always laughed at Chamisa.

“I spent five years in Cabinet but never drank tea there until Mugabe asked me who had told me he was a witch.

“I even avoided the 9am tea-break and told (Tendai) Biti and Tsvangirai what they were doing was dangerous,” he said.

“Tsvangirai would laugh it off saying I would die of hunger but I knew these people were not to trust.

“Some people might say it was just cancer but no, I have even told Hopewell Chin’ono and Job Sikhala not to eat any of the prison food but to stay strong no matter what because they will die if they consume that food,” Chamisa added.
Former minister Walter Mzembi backed the claims by Chamisa.

“I sat next to @nelsonchamisa in Cabinet, he drank Fanta while we guggled tea for the 5 years and explained to me poison fears.

“However his reference to Mugabe may mean the system and its targets, look where I am , happy he pronounced himself on this.”

“This issue of biological agents and other suspicions  may sound like a myth but it is real, in the last two years of my Cabinet sitting I had stopped teas as well it may have been too late the Silver Jug of ice cold water  for each member was suspect too.

“One sitting I exclaimed in horror when I opened my Silver Jug and found a thick bed of dead black cockroaches at the base fumed at Mapingire and asked the staff how this could be , but it was my first hint @nelsonchamisa could have been right,” he added.

Dzamara died Wednesday morning at a Harare hospital just before undergoing surgery and was buried yesterday (Friday) at his rural home in Mutoko.

The service which Chamisa addressed mourners was attended by several MDC Alliance officials including co-vice President Tendai Biti and Amos Chibaya, the organizing secretary.

ZANU PF’s Acie Lumumba, Zimbabwe Peace Project director Jestina Mukoko and Linda Masarira a political activist were also present.
