The country Zimbabwe had no good name and had been in doldrums for the past 17 years but November 17 , 2017 brought a dawn of a new era.
World Class Legends from Europe, Spain have visited Zimbabwe saw the opportunity to invest and boost the economy despite a lopsided perception of the country. Amongst the delegation was Julio Batista , Rayco Garcia , Laliga Director Antonio Correra Barradas and Faruk Eli Mahi Eltavia.
Sport mainly football brings quite a lot tourism revenue locally regionally and internationally.
The team brings to Zimbabwe good news on the 8th of June 2018 the World Class Legends will play Zimbabwe legends in Harare and the Tourism Industry is committed in making sure that all the tournaments are a success. During the tournament the likes of Roberto Carlos and Julio Batista will be among the players just to name a few but more names will be announced during the week. Laliga is not only bringing tournaments but trainer of trainers who are going to implement their experience and expertise in schools in and around Zimbabwe as well as ball distribution to the underprivileged children. The team’s bigger dream is to possibly establish Laliga office in Zimbabwe.
Julio Batista will take time to visit children during his stay in June, and has assured the nation that Laliga will do an incredible job in empowering young children in sport
The CEO Rayco Garcia in his words says ” lm committed to the country and be part of change” , he said the words with passion and concluded by eye opening Zimbabwe saying that together we can do it and, are responsible for what the nation has and make good use of it.
Honourable Prisca Mupfumira during her speech invited the football legends to be Zimbabwe’s Ambassadors in spreading the word that Zimbabwe is open for business and investing opportunities too. In her words ” Zimbabwe is a safe clean space to be come and experience hospitable people as well as touristic attraction places”
Barcelona TV among European TV stations will be platforms to promote and market Zimbabwe.
The legends got an opportunity to meet with Zimbabwe’s President ED Mnangagwa, Vice President Constantine Chiwenga and some high authority Zanu PF executive. Batista presented ED Mnangagwa and Vice President Chiwenga with foootball jerseys and later own presented balls that will be distributed to all the provinces in Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe is open for business and every opportunity is guaranteed for greater quality.
