Gwer, Zimbabwe. (News of The South) – Factional fights are turning nastier as efforts are currently underway in the G40 camp as they prepare for the much heated Zanu PF National People’s Conference scheduled for Masvingo.
This was witnessed by the resolutions passed from the Mashonaland Central Interdistrict Conference.
Politburo member Saviour Kasukuwere who was the high ranking official at the conference together with his sympathizers resolved that the President and Party’s First Secretary be elected at the National Congress and be the One Center of Power.
On vice Presidents they resolved that they should be voted for and the 2nd Vice President should be a woman, a move to have Vice President Emerson Mnangagwa demoted.
The Mash Central resolutions are to be used as acid test for response by the other provinces which would share the same views as them.
This has been put in motion because of the weaning support base of the G40 lately in all provinces.
The G40 camp have also structured a strategy to scandalise, criminalise and ultimately tarnish the images of all those who have been too vocal and opposed to the Kasukuwere faction.
Top on the list are legislators Mayor Wadjajena(GokweNembudziya) Terence Mukupe (Harare East) ZACC Commissioner Goodson Nguni.
These efforts are going to be aided by Regional Chief Magistrate Mishek Guvamombe who is related to Kasukuwere and Police Commissioner General Chihuri.
One of the key strategist is one MID agent identified as Kembo.
Efforts are underway to have trumped up charges against the listed whom they have perceived to be a thorn in the flesh.
Already they have managed to ensure that the ZNLWVA leaders does not attend the much heated conference.
They have also managed to reduce the number of freedom fighters (war veterans, exdetainees and restrictees, collaborators and widows of freedom fighters) from attending the conference.
Shadreck Mashayamombe(Harare South legislator) has put an additional 120 people on the Harare Province delegates list to add number in order to cheer Kasukuwere when he goes on stage.
Kasukuwere has also ensured that all Mash Central delegates attending the conference are those people only sympathetic to G40.
