(News of The South) – World Health Organization Executive Director, Dr Michael Ryan has warned yesterday that Europe is now the epicenter of the Coronavirus.
Dr Ryan said, “There’s no question that the European region is and epicenter for disease right now.”
“Right now we are well behind this virus in Europe so getting ahead of it is going to take some serious acceleration in what we do and maybe much more comprehensive nature of measures that are going to be needed” he added.
Europe has been faced with the death of more than 200,000 people from the virus.
The doctor went on to say if stricter measures to restrict the movement of people were not put in place the pandemic would go out of hand.
