Eswatini. (News of The South) – Eswatini political parties, trade unions and civil societies have formed a strong collaboration to oust King Mswati and transform the country into a multi-party democracy.

In a meeting held on Sunday at Manzini SNAT Centre, Trade Union Congress of Swaziland (TUCOSWA) president Quinton Dlamini said, “if Mswati must fall then he must fall. The message is clear that Mswati must fall and yes Mswati must fall.”

King Mswatii has over the past few days been under the spotlight for purchasing luxurious car brands such as Rolls-Royce, BMW and Bentley at a time when the population of the small kingdom is surviving on less than US$1 a day.
The Communist Party of Swaziland (CPS)’s publicity officer, Pius Vilakati earlier on today said, “we want to overthrow Mswati, he has spent R1.6 billion of taxpayers’ money in one month, it’s a massive misuse of public funds.

Mswati is on a suicide mission. We want to move to a Republic, since 2011 we have been advocating for that since the Arab Spring.”
Sive Siyinqaba, a political party dominated by members of the royal family released a statement calling upon the King to hand over power to the people before the situation gets worse.
