Harare, Zimbabwe (News Of The South) Tonight, the stage in Dryden Street, UK, will host the NAMA award winner, Enzo Ishall, “Kanjiva” and “Magate” dancehall hitmaker.
The 25 year old is currently signed at Chillspot Records. Growing up, as with most households, his music career seemed out of reach as his father wouldn’t hear of it. A blessing in disguise came when he failed to find funding to advance to tertiary level, and hence commenced his music career. He however plans on furthering his studies through advancing to tertiary education.
The Zimbabwean star is literary going places, having recently performed in South Africa’s Pretoria and Randburg, setting the place ablaze. Stephen Kudzanai Mamhare popularly known as Enzo Ishall, will perform in the UK tonight, a milestone in his career. Rising from performing locally to being internationally recognized, the artist is humbled by the support he is getting from his fans.
Although he was recently attacked, he is not going to let that hinder him from giving his all to the show. He survived a life threatening attack recently, and he is grateful to God for keeping him safe and he will do his all to ensure he lives an impactful life.
In narrating the ordeal, he said he was attacked by people who stopped his car on the roadside, who then requested for “selfies”. He acknowledged the wish, as he always puts his fan’s interests first because they are the people who got him to be where he is today. However, it turned out to be a coy, when one of them started assaulting him. Surprisingly, the attackers did not take anything from him, but vandalized his car and he is still in shock as to why they targeted him.
Before the attackers left, they threatened him saying, “We will get you one day, and don’t think you will keep on singing.” Such intimidation on his life and career must have been scary. He reported the matter to the police and got medical help.
Tonight marks a ground-breaking experience in the UK for Enzo, after failing to acquire his travel documents earlier this year for his prior scheduled show in the UK. Persistence and perseverance surely is the key to success, the music industry is blooming through such spirits gracing us with Zimdancehall that has grown popular over the past years.
