Harare, Zimbabwe (News of the South) Facebook has just published figures which show that our platform was the most influential business leadership platform in the world in the month of April!
I really want to congratulate you all, because you have demonstrated to the whole world that you’re serious about engaging on issues that are important to development, particularly when it comes to Africa.
#Congratulations!
When asked the other day why I thought our platform is so popular, my answer was simple: “I write every post myself.
I’m very prayerful and contemplative about each post, because I’m mindful of the fact that I’m addressing the next generation of leaders.
I read the thousands of comments myself, and try to engage back directly as much as my schedule allows.
Each comment matters, and I don’t want anyone to feel their comments are not important.
I wish I could answer everyone, but that is impossible. And yet every comment that I select, I answer as though the person were in my office.”
Some have asked if I could write more often than I do (which is about once a week, as you know).
I won’t do this because these are serious issues, and I want you guys to have the time to reflect and engage with me, and with each other.
Engagement like this makes me feel like I am mentoring rather being followed. I really don’t want to be followed. I prefer to have you walk right alongside me.
As the table from Facebook shows, all of you on this platform are amongst the most engaged in the world. Here’s the link:

Thank you and God bless!
