Harare, Zimbabwe (News of the South)-Econet Wireless has launched its Smart Data Network with an Expo held in Harare promising more cutting edge services in its provision of data services.

Various companies in the phone and technological field such as Huawei and Samsung are exhibiting at the event.

Econet, the country’s only iPhone certified LTE network, said its mandate is to provide services at par with the rest of the world.

Speaking at a media briefing the company’s Chief Customer Experience Officer Otis Makahamadze said they are aiming to stay ahead of competition.

“There is an African saying which says if you want to go fast go alone but if you want to go far take along others, so as Econet we want to go far and so we are taking a lot of partners with us”, he said.

Econet currently has the widest coverage in the country providing 2G, 3G, 4G and LTE on its broadband.
