“The President and First Secretary of the Party, who is the commander in Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, Emmerson Mnangagwa has with immediate effect appointed Dr David Parirenyatwa as the Acting Secretary for Health, Child Welfare and the Elderly to the Politburo pending the finalisation of investigations on the case of Cleveria Chizema” , Chinamasa explained.
The Secretary for Health, Child Welfare and the Elderly portfolio has become vacant after Cleveria Chizema was suspended last week after the security department presented a report on how internal forces are formenting discord in the party working with some senior officials.
Speaking after the politburo, yesterday in the capital, Chinamasa highlighted that Chizema was suspended after fliers printed by former Zanu Pf Youth League official spreading falsehoods were found at her home.
He said the fully investigations will nail culprits who have been working with outside forces.
Meanwhile, Chinamasa said the party has evedence of fliers left at Chizema’s house in March this year and that they had not been removed. He said Chizema did not report that incident to anyone, even the security authorities and were found at her house just a few days ago.
