(News Of The South) – Africa, a continent known of its riches in minerals and oil but is also the poorest of all continents and has no one to blame but itself as disunity between its nations is the worst barrier for the continent.
The absence of unity of purpose which is making other countries become darlings of European countries whilst some are being demonised and this shows the lack of Pan-Africanism within the continent.
This situation has led the continent to be manipulated by world super powers who are capitalising on the disunity in draining African resources for something close to free without being challenged as Africa does not have a single voice when dealing with other continents in trade.
This has also led to the Western powers to dictate everything on Africa`s resources, making them impose prices despite Africa being the sellers and obviously the resources are undercharged and as a continent not benefitting in any way.
Lack of unity has also led the continent to be characterised by wars and all these wars are indirectly caused by other countries from other continents and they are not being challenged at all.
The removal of Libyan president Maumar Gaddafi, the removal of Egyption president, the removal of Ivory Coast’s president and many others happened with Western powers heavily involved whilst fellow African leaders were watching from afar, a shame.
The West now have now been given a privilege to dictate the conditions of their trade with African countries and any country which opposes that faces a backlash through sanctions and regime change projects.
That is downright bullying!
