One of Africa’s finest, Tanzanian born musical artist Nasib Abdul (Diamond Platnumz), has revealed he will team up with former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o in setting up a football academy in Dar es Salaam.
“In the past, I thought to venture in sports business but it was not profitable, now I can see it is beneficial as such, in the near future, I will have my own team,” said the Tanzanian artist.
Diamond Platnumz said the talks to establish a modern football academy with Eto’o have been going on for a long time.
“We talked about it with him such that when all the required procedures are complete, the project will start,” said Diamond Platnumz.
Diamond Platnum performed at last Wednesday’s 2019 CAF Awards which were being held in Egypt.
The Tanzanian born artist hinted that there was a possibility of him performing at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Fifa World Cup which is scheduled for Qatar.
