He said he was one of the people who first fought for land redistribution but was not happy with how it was done.
“Coming to the distribution of land, I felt it was terrible the way it was done but nonetheless at the end of the day the Zimbabweans owned their land,” said Mafa.
The AAA- ZIP Founder said, “While I respect the tradition we are now past centralizing kingdoms. We have to democratize the system using the land and we have to make sure that it is economically given value.”
This means that the land must be for those who know how to give it value and its full potential not to have it just for the sake of having it.
He clarified saying, “However not all of us are supposed to farm, we need to move into education, into technology, into things than can make us a tertiary industry, we need to move into banking and become a financial center.”
Mafa said, “We need to be free from the chains of dependency and being over controlled so that the country can move forward.”
He left us with something to think about in order to move forward for a better future, “I don’t know what is important for people to keep suffering or to give in to the demands of the white supremacy system which wants you to give the land back.”
