The press conference held by the National Security Council playing down what they call rumours of an imminent coup de- tat is in itself admitting there could be something brewing up.
The jittery demeanour to dismiss rumours raises eyebrows. These rumours were told since last year and they never bothered to issue any statement against such. Why now?
I’ve often said it, the reason Chamisa is hated to the core is principally that he was endorsed by Mugabe. Having had the blessings of Mugabe and the sympathy of G40, he has become a dangerous enemy so his MDC A party should be destroyed at any cost.
Listen to Mwonzora, Khupe and Nick Mangwana, and you’ll hear the same language – they sing from the same hymn book that Chamisa has become an unbecoming opposition leader by embracing the fugitive G40 of Jonathan Moyo and Kasukuwere.
The human rights violations in general, and the abduction and torture of Johanna Mamombe and comrades in particular, has drawn stern accusations on ZANU PF government from across the globe, with the triune G40 stalwarts, Muzembi and Jonathan Moyo weighing in with unwavering attacks on Mnangagwa administration.
That fueled the anger of government against Chamisa. Since they see Chamisa is the linkman to the G40 who are capable of plotting a surprise comeback hinged on a coup, they think the best way is to weaken Chamisa’s political muscle by destroying his party.
Each time Chamisa says he’ll fight back, they see G40 drawing near every day. Cowards. The government is now like one who’s running from his shadow – borne out of a coup, gone through a coup. Anotamba nebanga achafa nebanga. Wakaipa unotiza pasina unomudzingirira.
Now that Talent Chiwenga,Job Sikhala and the other individuals have been mentioned as purveyors of false information about Zimbabwe, we should not be surprised to see massive arrests, starting with Job Sikhala who’s accused of partnering Kasukuwere in plotting the much rumored coup.
My second issue is about human rights and black ill treatment. African countries have been, and still are, making noise against racism, following the death of Floyd in America in the hands of police.
Yes we have a just cause, but I think the whites are even puzzled by the hypocrisy we are exhibiting. We clamour for black dignity and respect of black life in Europe and America, yet we don’t value such dignity here.
The reason whites are ill treating blacks in their countries is because they know that’s how they are treated back home. Start treating your kin nicely, and strangers will do the same. Ukafamba uchizvuzvurudza bhachi rako muvhu muvakadzani akatarira, mangwana muvakidzani okukumbira bhachi rimwe chete iroro womupa, unofunga kuti anoritakura here kana aneta kuripfeka?
Anorizvuva muvhu zvaakaona uchiita naro. It will be madness to charge at your neighbour for soiling your coat. He will be amazed to hear you demand that he handles your coat with care.
African leaders impugn , harass , torture and kill their own people. White Americans and Europeans have often advised African governments to stop human torture but to no avail.
They’ve been often been told not to intervene in African governance, emphasis put on sovereignty.
These whites look on as we kill each other and begin to think that’s how blacks should be treated. One of us is killed by the army and we don’t care.
One of us is killed by police in USA we make noise. We look stupid to the whole of Europe by this callous behaviour.
