The vampire from Wuhan
The ghost of Jezebel beware!
The nocturnal witch you’ve muzzled many loved ones

You asphysciated them in their sleep
They are now in the morgue eyes shut, veins dry
Their bodies are blue as a bruise
And the smell from the crematorium lingers like wet firewood
You’re wrecking havoc like a rabid dog
Your ruthless jaws are aren’t selective
Rich or poor you devour with hardly a care

Black and white you trounce them left, right and centre
Your insatiable appetite for human lungs is hellish
Countries are in lockdown suspicious of each other
The populous is in hibernation scared stiff Your viral discharge is internecine lt’s spreading like the Australian Fires

Indeed the enemy of mankind is a virus Covid-19 beware, what kills us make us resolute lt’s a matter of time before your peril

You are living on borrowed time
At the tunnel’s end a bubbly blue light shimmers
Your end is nigh, revenge is sweeter Ghost of Jezebel, Covid-19 beware!
He who punches last instils the fatal blow.

When our scientist finally laugh, they’ll laugh the loudest
