Christopher Mutsvangwa, is a Zimbabwean politician, and special advisor to President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Mutsvangwa is businessman and is the chairman of the War Veterans Association of Zimbabwe. Comrade Mutsvangwa has vehemently denied ever owning a Twitter account. He scorns and laughs at the pathetic messages posted on Twitter which bore his name.
The messages were not only idiotic but laughable and did not represent Cde Mutsvangwa and his beliefs. Cde Mutsvangwa will maintain that the controversial tweets were posted in his name from a “fake” account by those who are cowards. People who wish to state their opinion and believe in their opinion must learn to say so without hiding behind other people’s names.
Cde Mutsvangwa said “Jonathan Moyo at it again…impersonating.
An existence of barren exile is coming to a desultory grind of hallucinations.
It is spewing out a witches’ brew of life-long espionage, intrigue, unrequited ambition, war desertion, spurious journalism and cantankerous politics. It now bears the yield of zero-to-negative credibility for the over-used and burnt out Professor Jonathan Moyo. In desperation Jonso (Moyo) resorts to the cloning of my name on his social media tweets. All that, an extreme quest for the vanished readership of his verbal diarrhoea of lies and nonsense. It’s a cruel pity that Jonathan Moyo is a self-inflicted victim of confidence and esteem lost in oneself.”
The “fake” account is not tagged and has very few followers. This will not be the case if the Twitter account was a genuine one. Cde Mutsvangwa is a natural crowd puller and if he had an account he would be having thousands of followers. It is obvious that a fake account is being used to damage his social and political image.
“To avoid a needless controversy, Cde Christopher Mutsvangwa has categorically denied ever sending such a diabolic unpatriotic message as exhibited in the useless twits. The originators of such Twitter messages are trying to raise controversy by attributing messages which are cannot even be posted by a Zombie in any grave yard.
The controversial tweet posted had triggered massive outrage on social media as those who saw the Twitts calling it a shameless attempt to tarnish the good image of cde Mutsvangwa. The shameless Twitter messages clearly borders on the grounds of defamation. Defamation of character occurs when someone makes a false statement about you to a third party that is damaging to your reputation.
It is therefore clear that such Twitts are meant to tarnish the image of Comrade Mutsvangwa, trying as they can do they will fail. Cde Mutsvangwa has become a victim of character defamation, which may have a serious impact on his personal and professional reputation, not to mention the potential damage to his businesses.
