Harare – Chatunga Bellarmine Mugabe has been deported to Zimbabwe following a controversial social media post in which he claimed that President Emmerson Mnangagwa had allegedly paid 600,000 South African rands in connection with his return.
Sources familiar with the matter indicate that Mugabe was cautioned by authorities prior to his deportation and instructed to refrain from making further public statements of a similar nature. His remarks, which quickly circulated online, sparked debate and raised questions regarding the circumstances of his return.
Upon arrival at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare, Mugabe was received by officials and promptly escorted from the airport. Witnesses reported that he was driven away without incident and taken to his private residence.
