Cashless Society

0 0(News of The South)- In Manchester and other parts of U.K, public transport users or commuters are paying tickets on the bus or train using *cash or swipe*. This is a good move to ease the demand for cash.
To print notes and coins cost a lot of public purse monies, opportunity costs.
I hope this kind of futuristic mode of paying public transport fares cascade or spread out to Africa and many parts of the world where cash is still regarded as the main mode of transaction.
Of course it cost money to invest in such efficient technology on kombis, buses and trains. It’s the way forward however.
