By Edward Makuzva
HARARE, Zimbabwe.(News of the South)- Opposition and Transform Zimbabwe President, Jacob Ngarivhume has been granted RTGs 50k bail, Wednesday, by a High court judge in Harare.
Part of his bail conditions include is to reside at the given address, surrender his passport and Report 3 times at Harare Central Police station.
Zimbabwe has been on auto pilot since the contested 2018 election results. Now, from the day Ngarivhume was arrested, the nation has gravitated towards convergency. In him the nation’s hopes now lie.
On 31 July 2020, Ngarivhume was prepared to lead from the front. Chikurubi and its leg irons and cuffs have failed to break him. His vision for a better Zimbabwe remains intact.
But will the justice system do the honourable thing and deliver justice and prove that its not captured? Or will they deliver a miscarriage of justice of mega proportions.
Ngarivhume was arrested on Monday 20 July 2020 and was facing charges of inciting Zimbabweans to revolt against President Mnangagwa.
It is the State’s case that Ngarivhume, allegedly posted various messages on his Twitter account during the period between 1 March 2020 to 20 July 2020 calling upon Zimbabweans across the country to engage in acts of public violence against the government on 31 July 2020.
