JOHANNESBURG, South Africa. (News of the South)- Freedom icon Nelson Mandela’s daughter Zindzi has died this morning aged 59 at a Johannesburg hospital.

She is the child of former late first President of South Africa and his second wife Winnie Madikizela Mandela.
National broadcaster South African Broadcasting Corporation has confirmed the untimely death.
The cause of death has not been made available at the time of printing.
Mandela was the ambassador of the Southern African nation to Denmark where she started the job in 2015.
South Africa Minister of International Relations Naledi Pandor said: “Zindzi will not only be remembered as a daughter of our struggle icons, but as a struggle heroine in her own right.”
She is known for reading her father’s refusal speech for conditional release from prison in 1985.
The former ambassador was vocal on land acquisition to distribute it to the majority landless black South Africans.
