Belgium will on Tuesday evening play a dead rubber World Cup qualifying match against Wales having already secured a place at the finals to be held in Brazil next year.

Marc Wilmots’ men booked their ticket to the global soccer showcase next year after dismissing rivals Croatia 2-0 last Friday.

The Belgians have been ruthless in their qualifying matches, tearing apart their opponents like they never existed no wonder why they have lost only once in nine outings.

In the reverse fixture played in September last year, goals from Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany and Jan Vertonghen were enough to see off Wales and put the Belgian qualification to Brazil 2014 on track.
Wilmots is expecting his charges to sweep past their opponents and end their qualifying matches on a high note.

“We hope to maintain our 100% winning record in today’s match against the Red Devils. My boys are aware of the danger posed by our opponents, hence they will be geared up for the task,” he said.

The Belgians boast of an impressive home record that has seen them enjoy a 15 match unbeaten streak. Their last loss at home was a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Joachim Low’s German side in September 2010.

A strong Belgian side is likely to be thrown into the fray tom do battle even though qualification has already been secured. Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini and Everton’s Romelu Lukaku are likely to lead the Belgian team to victory.
