Monica Mutsvangwa vs “righteous minority Ndebeles” and the silent “murderous majority Shonas!”
Monica Mutsvangwa’s tribalism must be called to order. But who will do so? Maybe the victims? Where is the majority of Zimbabweans Monica pretends to be speaking on behalf of? Why the silence about this clear tribalism by a govt minister? Where are my fellow brothers and sisters on the ground and on social media? Where are the other churches? Prophets? Pastors? Bishops? Social media princes and warriors from Mashonaland! Don’t ignore leaders when they utter divisive statements.
Today it’s Ndebele as it was during Gukurahundi, tomorrow it will be MaZezuru or Makorekore as is ZNA beating folks at Dema. We let Mugabe and these same guys on power today get away with Gukurahundi and now Monica and ED continue peddling tribalism and we pretend to not have seen that side of their evilness!
Surely, can anyone tell me why a letter written by a group of Roman Catholic leaders would lead to a threat to Ndebeles? Why not threaten the Catholic church whose leadership wrote the letter that she is not happy with? Are we going to blame tribes from where leaders of institutions and organisations come? Are Ndebeles, instead of Catholics being threatened simply because the Catholic church in Zimbabwe is led by a Ndebele? Since when did we hear of this in our diverse churches?
Why call the Ndebeles ‘righteous minority?’ There surely must be a reason. Has she been following our posts? I am sure she knows some of us are not dull. Most Ndebeles in national leadership did not choose to be corrupt thugs! Some things are natural in some societies dear Minister Monica.
I think the Ndebeles had a centralised Kingdom where the King looked after everyone, hence stealing was not necessary. Isu Mashona had our numerous autonomous chieftains and empires we had to fend for and maybe that allowed us to steal from others to feed our own hence nanhasi humbavha ndohwedu!
Maybe this simple assumption is what made the silly tribalist of a govt minister talk “righteous Ndebele minority” as sarcasm! But do you really want them to join in stealing like you are doing? And so Cde Mutsvangwa, what then is not righteous about the majority Shonas?? Please inform us. Are we the “silent majority looters? Silent murderous majority?” What exactly were you trying to say?
Maybe Monica Mutsvangwa knew she is sending a coded message for her folks to turn against Ndebele leadership of the Catholics and not the church itself. She is following Trump too much and is badly trying to copy him! We know that Zimbabwe has always resisted Ndebele leadership in certain institution and politics; and Monica knows and supports that very well.
From political parties to churches; it comes as a shock to her that Archbishop Ndlovu has lasted this long leading the Church. Is she not happy that the Church has not been involved in politics and has been now forced to do so by her sending the Army to terrorise and maim innocent civilians? Can she truly fight the Catholic Church the way she is fighting innocent Zimbabweans?
Monica is indeed a very brave war veterans who fears noone and nothing!
Gudo guru peta muswe kuti vaduku vakutye. Zanu and the Mutsvangas have done enough harm to the country to start dog whistling tribal shit against our own brothers and sisters.
Her true colours of Chinhu chedu are now emerging. Remember Mnangagwa only gives positions to the following types of people; clansmen, relatives, corrupt officials be can hold at ransom or those related via bedrooms through kids or relatives.
Maybe that young man who once worked in Khuphe’s offices during the 2008 GNU, who went to a South Africa TV station to tell the world that Monica was rewarded as Minister for other services was not mad after all, hence her deplorable and destructive utterances which are not fit to come from a modern day government minister!
