Zimbabwe : (News Of The South) – 3 family members possibly related to Buhera MP Mr. Joseph Chinotimba were murdered in cold blood, assumedly last night.
Voice call records between one Lorrainne Chinotimba, who professed to be in Harare and Jerasi Muchimi from within the murdered trio’s community suggest that the murdered trio are from Buhera and that they are related to Buhera MP Joseph Chinotimba.
The deceased are named as Barwai, his wife identified as NyaBarwai and Barwai’s sister whose name was not given.
Voice Call records and as well images submitted on Whtsapp, both show a vicious murder scene which some sources claim was driven by vengeance.
“3 family members murdered by 21 year old boy who accused them of ‘killin’ (sic) his father 15 years ago,” replied ChakaChirenda, a group participant, being the one who had had shared 2 audios and several images of the murder to the Whatsapp group “Without Fear Or Favour.”
In a second audio, an unidentified man, apparently also family to the deceased, testifies to the arrival of the police on the crime scene. The man also shares information that the unidentified young man had grown up in the midst of rumours that the now deceased were responsible for his father’s death.
“The young man is around and has been arrested. He has told the police that he killed them because they killed his father,” says the voice record.
The murder accused is a cousin to the deceased, according to the audio message.
His father is said to have died 8 years ago in the voice note whereas ChakaChirenda’s post puts the time lapse at 15 years.
Reports are also conflicting as to when the murder accused’s age with ChakaChirenda putting his age at 21 first then 17 in subsequent cimment. The unidentified man’s voice note howener, estimates the accused man’s age at between 20 and 21.
The first post on the matter reached the group at 0952Hrs this morning.
Images submitted display a thoughtlessly inhuman brutal attack which left the victims lying in pools of blood concentrated mainly around their heads.
Murder cases in Zimbabwe have been on the increase in recent times.
Report of this incident comes while the nation is still grappling with the September murder of Tapiwa Makore, a 7 yr whose life was allegedly snuffed by two of his uncles and a herdboy in a suspected ritual conspiracy. Police are still working at locating Tapiwa’s head and arms.
