Ammara Brown made a surprise appearance at the Lion Lager Summer Beer Festival on Saturday night when she came onstage to gyrate for D’banj.
The young singer and daughter of Zimbabwe’s late musician Andy Brown left fans who attended the rather dull performance by Nigerian Singer D’banj a the Glamis Arena shocked by her antics.
“He asked me to model towards his kiss, so I danced towards it instead and I did what felt natural; took his mic & started singing,” Ammara Brown said.
Ammara was picked by the Fall in love hit -maker when he jumped off stage and went into the crowd in search of 10 girls to wriggle their waist for him onstage.
“Contrary to belief I didn’t plan it. He didn’t even know I was an artist. Just a pretty woman in the crowd, so he reminded me of something,” she tweeted.
D` banj failed to wow the crowd as he put up a mediocre performance on a night where a lot was expected from him.
Many disgusted fans started to walk out of the venue midway through his set as they felt that the koko master as he is fondly known by his fans was taking them for a ride.
Instead it was Zimbabwean Dancehall king Winky D who was the star of the show as he gave a scintillating performance and kept the crowd on their feet, which the Oliver Twist hit-maker failed to match.
Visiting Ugandan Reggae artiste Bebe Cool also gave a good account of himself with a well polished act despite many people not knowing his music.
