Why do some African nations want to withdraw membership with International Criminal Court ICC? Is it because they have committed heinous crimes against their people? Is it because the ICC is unfairly treating Africans?
These are the questions that are circulating in minds of many Africans with the victim nations justifying their move to withdraw while the ICC justify to bring justice to crimes against humanity committed by African leaders.
Leaving ICC will be disastrous to the African people because the reason why that court exist its to protect fellow Africans from wicked inhuman activities of their lasers. Leaving ICC meant that, the leaders will take advantage of their judicial structure which many have became a laughing stock and commit freely more genocide.
Why is Omar Al Bashir who was indicted by the ICC for war crime charges and genocide in Darfur(Sudan) and Uhuru Kenyatta who is charged for crimes against humanity afraid to stand their trials if they are innocent?
Zimbabwean Political analyst Mr Hove said” If they are innocent they should be acquitted so that they can stand to the whole world and prove their innocence”.
During Kenya`s election time Uhuru Kenyatta promised to attend the trial in Hague but now because he is enjoying the fruits of the office, he has made a strong u-turn. Kenyan people have a right to question him why he is refusing to abide by his election promise.
Some reports say, some Kenyan and Senegalese nationals who were supposed to be witnesses are disappearing daily and some are being intimidated to withdraw evidence but the question is, WITHDRAWAL FROM THE ICC IS SERVING WHOSE INTERESTS?
The truth is if Africa leaves ICC, automatically it means we are back to the dark ages of dictatorship and mass murder in the name of sovereignty. Africa is the most brutalized of all continents according to statistics especially by its leaders during plebiscites.
